10 years ago when I turned 60, everything changed. I had a rotator cuff surgery that compromised my movement for about four months. For the first month, my wife had to do pretty much everything for me. Bless her heart. I felt powerless and I never wanted to feel that way ever again.
Hi, my name is Steve Avellino and my company is called Reverse the Aging Processes. Over the last eight years, I’ve worked with more than 7,000 students between the ages of 63 and 106.
One of my students went to the doctors complaining of pain in the left hip. And the doctor said, “You’re 87. What do you expect?” I told her the next time she visits to say, “You know, I’m pretty sure my right hip is 87 as well. Why is there no pain there?” That’s all about a particular mindset.
My personal goal at the age of 100 is to be able to play on the floor with my great grandchildren. I want to be able to climb up and down stairs no problem. I want to be cognitively quite sharp and I want to be painfree.
To accomplish these goals I’m going to reverse engineer it. I know what I want to be able to do at age 100. That said, I know what I have to be able to do at age 90, what I have to be able to do at age 80, and what I have to do now at the age of 70.
As far as my company is concerned, the initial plan was to help people stop falling. In working on posture and balance, I got more into moving better as a whole. A lot of my students, maybe all of them, were in some sort of pain. So we worked on the mitigation and sometimes total elimination of pain for some people.
Then I started looking at my students as athletes and what is their sport? It is the activities of daily living. So I started putting together training modalities for that.
Then I began looking at the difference between health span and lifespan. Globally there’s a 9.4 year difference between health span and lifespan. Basically the last 10 years of our lives we are experiencing some sort of medical issue or pain. Life is now different or at least different as to how we remember it.
If there is one weak link, the entire system is affected.
So, currently I teach posture and balance, movement, pain relief, movement training for activities of daily living and lifestyle concerns, nutrition, hydration, sleep and stress reduction.
When we are young, we have a large circle of activities. As we get older, that circle gets smaller. But you can reverse it, and it’s never too late to start.
Getting older is inevitable. Aging doesn’t have to be.

When people see the name of my company, Reverse the Aging Processes, they can be quite skeptical and rightfully so. There are many processes to aging. Here is just one example, watch the video for more;
Gloria came into my program about six years ago, and for three years she’d been using a walker. Six weeks later, she came in no longer using the walker. As far as Gloria and I are concerned, we reversed her balance age by three years.
These examples are what I mean when I talk about reversing the aging processes. Because we want to die young at an extremely old age.
While I am not a medical professional, I do have numerous certifications through the International Sports Sciences Association, recognized in 92 countries. Watch the video for fuller descriptions of these programs.
Master Fitness Trainer / Corrective Exercise Specialist / Senior Fitness / Sports Nutrition Certification / Strength and Conditioning Specialist / Exercise Therapy Certification / Tactical Conditioning Specialist / Exercise Recovery
Each certification takes me roughly five months to complete for a total of roughly 40 months of study. I will say again that I learned just as much if not more in training 7,000 students over the last eight years.
“She was a high fall risk. We used corrective exercise to “wake up” her rhomboids and mid-trapezius in her upper/mid back. I spoke with her six-months ago, and she has not fallen in over a year.

“My mother is 98, and I am 75. Steve has improved our ability to walk, stand, sit, and isolate the parts of our bodies that need special attention.”

“The other day I tripped over something and I didn’t fall.
This would not have happened before I started exercising with Steve.”
